2012, you've been a really great year
2012 is probably the best year by far. And I need to run
down the events that made the year that
was my favourite.
In 2012, I was able to develop a deeper relationship with my
college friends and classmates. It was the year when I completely went out of
my shell. I had personal issues (that only I know about) and it made me draw
back a little from others, like I was full of reservations. But I was able to
set free, and I’m glad that I can finally show the real me to the entire world
again.
Self-assesment.. Looking at the list I made of the things
that I shall accomplish before the year 2012 ends, I was able to cross out only
5 of them.
In summer 2012, I, together with 3 of my masscomm friends
auditioned to Magic’s Junior Jock. If you ask me what was the experience like,
“fun” would be an understatement. None of us made it to the 2nd
round but the experience really boosted out our confidence and made us more
eager to improve ourselves. Seeing the DJs of Magic and having them interview
you was of course a plus plus point.
Part of the list of goals that I made is being part of an
organization, and be a very active member. As soon as I saw that our school
paper’s looking for writers, I immediately decided that I will take their exam.
I was accepted at the features section but it didn’t stop there. You have to
take an exam again to be a feature writer. Unfortunately, I didn’t make it. But
then I was so determined to cross out that item in my list. So when CommSoc
(academic org of MassComm department) was looking for associates, I then passed
my resume, undergone an interview with the officers, and after a week of two, I
got a text message saying that I am now the Associate Head of Production and
Technical Work.
Being part of CommSoc is probably the best thing that
happened to me this 2012. Some of my friends would ask me, “buti kaya mo? Ang dami mo pang subjects
tapos may commsoc ka pa”. And I would simply answer, “masaya kasi eh”. Despite
having a busy schedule and back subjects, I still manage to make time for the
org. CommSoc gave me the chance to meet such wonderful people and work with
them. You know when they say that your work shouldn’t be a burden if you love
what you’re doing? This is what I exactly feel with this org.
Making a major decision is also one of the highlights of my 2012. And that major decision is my minor track. And so far, so good :) And also, I am now a registered voter!
I've been so blessed in 2012, I must've been really good girl. Hah! Everything just went so perfectly fine, even when I didn't expect them to be. 2013 will be a really tough year for me but game face on! No giving up!
P.S.
Bitin post because I lost my mood because we didn't have an internet connection when I wanted to post this so yeah bye
