And because it completely slipped off my mind that you'll be on your reteat tomorrow and I wasn't able to get you something for you birthday (which was last July pa), here I am.. Pang-bawi. Heeh.
This girl's name is Ena (pronounced as Ee-nuh, not Eh-na, btw). I can't actually remember how we got this tight. But if I had to dig down to my memory...
We were classmates in intro2comm and philosophy during my first sem in St. Scho. I knew her as Ms. Abad because that's how our professor used to call us - by our last names. On our 2nd year, we were blockmates. It's enough to exchange his and hellos back then until we became friends during the 2nd sem. Friends, as in plain friends. Medyo level up ng konti sa hi and hello. Until December came. We had a Christmas Party in our advertising class and we exchanged gifts. I remember her friends asking me what I want, and I had no clue that it was Ena who'll be giving me the gift that I requested - a planner. Haha! Although I can't really remember what she said about me before giving the gift. Oh well..
The reason why we never got really close during our sophomore year is because we have different circle of friends. But come junior year, she was put on a different block that separated her from her friends. If I remember it right, we started getting really close in July. We were seatmates in Statistics (and I'm really thankful for our prof because she didn't mind if we're just talking the entire period). Or maybe we're seatmates on almost all of our subjects? Haha! We ride the bus home together, we spend lunchdates.. We felt comfortable with each other until I found myself saying everything to her. From the most random things to the greatest heartache I ever had. And oh, I also convinced her to get a BB plan from Globe. Just because. Haha!
We're not classmates anymore because we're on a different minor track. Imagine the joy I feel whenever I see her in the campus and she would hug me and say that she misses me.
I love you, Ena. And I'm sure you know that. I do not regret not actually be-friending you during our 1st year in college kasi baka ngayon magkaaway na tayo.. Hahaha! To my almost thesismate, flower, sister, and froglet, happy birthday! Ay joke. Have fun on your retreat pala. Hahahaha!
