Of Scripts and Productions

I'm not sure if it's a TGIF because our first class is radio production. And nope, this is not your ordinary I'm-going-to-be-a-DJ-mixing-and-playing-songs type of radio production. This class is a mixture of stress, pressure, and more pressure. Pressure to do great and to live beyond the standards.

Since the first week July (I think), we've been making scripts for our productions and we rehearse every Tuesday night. For about three Tuesdays, all we practice was the PSA since it was our first production which was schedule last August 3. A 60-sec PSA. The most crucial 60 seconds in my life, ever. I was nervous of not getting good grades on my script, on my production as a director, and as a crew. Luckily, my PSA went really, really, well. Ora et la bora really works. And I just received my grade for my news script and I was really into tears. I wasn't expecting getting that kind of grade, I was just so grateful and everything's paying off.

St. Scho has a very different approach to MassComm. In St. Scho, we're not just trained to do good in our chosen fields. We are trained to be responsible and critical media people, and when they release us to the real world, we stand out. I'm glad that I'm in St. Scho, taking up Mass Communication.
