Of Chasing Dreams
Remember my post when I said that I did a couple of activities before I bid my summer goodbye? Here it is. Revelation time!1st weekend of June, I submitted an application for The Scholastican, the official student publication of St. Scholastica's College - Manila. The exam was scheduled on the 5th of June. It was a general exam, and if you pass that, you'll be eligible to take the sections exam. I applied for features and news, btw.
I passed the general exam. Of course I felt so giddy that moment because that gave me a hope of being part of the school paper again. Honestly, the exam was hard. Especially the sections exam. I was accepted to take the exam for features, and it was harder than I thought it would be. Unfortunately, I didn't make it. No more chance of being a contributor of the school paper.
Come June 9, I headed to Eastwood Mall with some of my MassComm friends. Our purpose? To audition as a junior jock of Magic 89.9! It was a really, really, really, fun experience. I'm so glad we waited in line for almost 7 hours. I'm glad we saw the boys of BNO, I'm glad I was with Via, JC and Tiffany, I'm glad that the Axe Anarchy was happening on that same day, and most of all.. I'm glad that DJ Tyler was the one who interviewed me <3 Hahahaha. Although we didn't make it this time, we surely learned a lot from the DJs, and it was worth the experience. We'll definitely try out again next year, just like what the DJs told us.

So when we had our department's plenary meeting, and they were still looking for officers, I immediately sent my resume. Not well really immediately cause my resume's almost hit the deadline. Lol. Anyway, after sending the resumes, the applicants had an interview with the officers. It was the most comfortable interview I've ever had. All of us just kept on laughing, although of course the president asked serious questions.
After a week, I got a text message from the president of the org that I am now the newly appointed Associate Head of Production and Technical Work of Communication Society. If only I could squeal in that moment (but we were having class, so..).
And last Monday, July 23, the org had our acquaintance party with a kiddie theme. There were balloons, loot bags, pig tails, jumpers, colorful head bands, magicians.. It was memorable. My first in Commsoc.
With all these, I proved that you are not meant for some things. There will be greater things that will come in your way, and it will be given to you, at the right moment. We all just need a twist of patience and fa
