June 20, declared as national holiday
Through Proclamation No. 154, the Palace declared June 20 as a non-working holiday in celebration of Jose Rizal's 150th birth anniversary. Note: he was born on June 19, the holiday was moved to the nearest Monday.Meanwhile, June 12 (Sunday) will remain a regular holiday and it will not be moved to June 13 which is the nearest Monday. So basically, may pasok sa June 13.
Confusing, right? Some holidays were not moved because celebrations are meant to stay on that date, according to the Deputy presidential spokesperson.
Also, June 24 (Friday) is a non-working day in Manila in commemoration of the 438th founding anniversary of the city.
Again, holiday on June 12 and 20. And in the city of Manila on June 24.
